On Tuesday, Ellen had her second chemotherapy appointment. Of course she walked the several miles from our home to the hospital. And some of her friends and supporters showed up to walk with her.
It was a lovely day with ice melting on the river. The cranes were flying in their great flocks high overhead, croaking.
It is very helpful to be able to do this treatment here in our little town. The Cancer Center at Gunnison Valley Hospital is small, local and informal. The people are very nice and there is a lot of personal attention.
Ellen did pretty well for a day or two after, with a lot of bounce. But in the last 36 hours she has become very tired and is resting most of the time. That is about the way it was last time, and about what the medical people are telling us to expect. In the next day or two she should be recovering her energy and back on her feet.
