Ellen went to the hospital today for her infusion. This was the second in this cycle of three. May 14 will be the third of three.
We are pretty much at home together, almost all the time.
And we are into a routine.
Since Thursday is chemotherapy day, Wednesday is a day for long happy walks in the mountains.
The very first tiny leaves are coming out on the aspen, There is still a lot of snow in the high peaks. A few tiny flowers are showing. And as the snow melts, the streams are rushing with water.
So on Thursday mornings we get up early and walk for a couple of hours before Ellen goes to the hospital.
We have very few distractions outside of our immediate circumstances. We are both concerned about our mothers, who are both feeling the isolation of COVID and social distancing and the inability to have visitors.
Luke is doing a lot of gardening. The soil is looking really good and rich this year. And it seems we will be emphasizing onions. And garlic. The rest is a work in progress.
We are remodeling the garage.
We are so happy to hear from friends; we hope all is going well with all of you; let us stay in touch as all of this evolves.
Ellen's Journey 
So good to hear from you and to know that the mountains are welcoming you now, after a rather mild—and short—winter. Susan and I are basically on the same non-trajectory: exercise, a couple of hikes each week, chores, reading—and let’s hear it for “streaming”! A routine we can, so far, live with. And masks! Susan says she favors me more than ever.

Dear Ellen and Luke,
As always, thank you for your update. Life is also quiet here although Denmark will enter phase 2 after lockdown on Monday, 18 May, and then, on 8 June, our government will open phase 3, which means fitness centers and public swimming pools. The small fitness room in our housing society has been closed for two months now and like so many others, I look forward to using it again. I also really miss the Tivoli Concert Hall, but all concerts during spring and summer have been cancelled. The thrill of going home after a first-rate performance in BROAD DAYLIGHT at 22.O0 is hard to explain.
Would be grateful to know the approximate time when you leave home to walk to the hospital. I used to know and like to send you healing vibes when I know what time you walk from your home.
